An F-16 crashed at sea last weekend. Fortunately, the crew has been rescued.
The US Air Force suspended all F-16 fighter flights at Luke Air Force Base -- its largest training area for the jets -- after one of the planes crashed in the desert Friday. It was the fifth such accident at Luke since October.
Monday evening, a Belgian Air Force F-16 "FA-39" from Florennes crashed during a training mission (air combat) in the neighborhood of Dinant (Belgium).

On February 25th, a Belgian 2W Tac F-16 (FA-116) crashed on landing. At touch-down the nose wheel turned to the right while the plane was still at a high speed. The nose wheel broke, and the F-16 ran of the runway with his nose in the ground. The pilot is safe but the aircraft is badly damaged.

Air Combat Command has released the Aircraft Accident Investigation Report on the Sept. 1 F-16C crash 25 miles south of Fort Sumner, N. M. The aircraft was from the 523rd Fighter Squadron at the 27th Fighter Wing, Cannon Air Force Base, N. M.
A U.S. Air Force F-16 fighter jet crashed in the Arizona desert on Wednesday, and the student pilot survived by parachuting to safety. Student pilot First Lt. Esther Obert ejected from her F-16 as it plummeted to the desert in southwestern Arizona. She parachuted to safety on the sprawling Barry M. Goldwater Range near Gila Bend, Ariz.
An Air Force F-16 from Luke Air Force Base, Ariz., crashed on to at raining range near Yuma, Ariz., just before 10 a. m. Feb 3. The pilot, 1st Lt. Esther Obert, ejected safely.

An F-16CJ from the 78th Fighter Squadron at Shaw AFB, S. C., crashed July 22 because of the failure of a "critical bearing in a linkage that controls air flow" to its General Electric F110 turbofan, the U.S. Air Force says. The pilot ejected safely, but the aircraft was destroyed.
