Today around 18.45h a RNlAF F-16 made a planned belly landing at Leeuwarden Air Base after it became apparent that the wheel from the front landing gear was missing.

USAF completes F-16 accident investigation

U.S. Air Force officials completed an investigation of the F-16 block 25 accident at Luke Air Force Base, Ariz. Oct. 26, 2006, which resulted in the loss of the 56th Fighter Wing aircraft.

A California Air National Guard F-16C crashed today near Owens Lake in remote eastern California, but the pilot safely ejected and was not hurt.
An investigation into September's F-16 crash near Spangdahlem Air Base has blamed the accident on pilot error.

Misawa F-16s stop dropping dummy bombs

F-16 fighter jets at this northern Japan base have stopped dropping dummy bombs after a 25-pound inert munition fell off a jet Wednesday night as it landed.
A USAF F-16 of the 35th Fighter Wing based at Misawa AB, Japan, accidentally dropped a concrete practice bomb on a runway shared by civilian and military flights.

F-16 pilot downed in Iraq listed as KIA

The American pilot whose F-16 fighter jet went down in Iraq was listed as killed in action following. DNA analysis of remains recovered at the crash site, the U.S. Air Force said Sunday.

Luke F-16D crashes on training range

USAF F-16D from Luke AFB, Arizona crashed early Monday morning just east of Highway 85 on the Barry M. Goldwater Range. Both crew reported ejected safely.
US Air Force officials have convened an investigative board to look into the crash of an F-16 Fighting Falcon engaged in combat operations over Iraq Nov. 27.

A U.S. F-16CG has crashed during operations north of Falluja in Iraq's western Anbar province. According to sources the pilot did not survive.
Two U.S. F-16Ds of the 13th Fighter Squadron made an emergency landing at a Japanese airport Friday morning after one of them developed smoke in the cockpit, Japanese defense officials said.
A practice bomb fell off an F-16 aircraft assigned to the 13th Fighter Squadron at Misawa Air Base during a routine training mission Wednesday, according to base officials.

Luke F-16C catches fire during takeoff

62nd Fighter Squadron F-16C block 25 experienced a fire during takeoff at Luke AFB, Arizona but aborted before lift off. Fire crews sprayed foam on the aircraft and the pilot was treated at the scene.

Luke F-16 jettisons fuel tanks, lands safely

The pilot of an F-16 jet that took off from Luke Air Force Base was forced to drop two external fuel tanks during an in-flight emergency Tuesday morning.
