A pilot's failure to follow standard F-16 operations procedures caused an F-16D to crash short of the runway at Nellis Air Force Base, Nev., March 18, Air Force officials announced today.
The pilot of an F-16 block 30 had to eject Tuesday afternoon when he tried to land at the Lamar Airport and realized he wouldn't be able to stop before hitting the end of the runway.
