First flight of a Belgian Air Force F-35A
On May 14, 2024, the third F-35A destined for the Belgian Air Force completed its maiden flight. The aircraft took off from Lockheed Martin’s Fort Worth facility in Texas around 15:00h and flew for approximately one hour.

RSAF F-16 crashes at Tengah Air Base
On 8 May 2024, at 12.35h, a Republic of Singapore Air Force (RSAF) F-16 experienced an issue during take-off. The pilot safely ejected and the plane crashed thereafter within the confines of Tengah Air Base.

This F-16 was the first to roll off the General Dynamics production line at Fort Worth, TX. It was delivered to the USAF in August of 1978 and thus became the very first production F-16 to be delivered worldwide. Initial deliveries went to the 388th TFW at Hill AFB, where initial pilot training on the type was performed.

Callsign of the day

Callsign "Have Quick"

Intel chick in a squadron I was TDY with had a young LT she was trying to politely line out on briefing technique. He was ignoring her and after one of his awful briefs she tagged him Have quick because he sounded like one. The LT thought it was because he was complex. Priceless.
