Hey everyone
Anyone know what the zeroise switch does? I use f4 but that switch is not implemented in the sim.
Thanks.

The Zeroize switch does just what it says it does. It zeros out all of the classified equipment installed on the jet. Due to COMSEC and OPSEC issues I shall not say any more.

It's cool, I understand. I thought nobody would talk about it in detail anyway the moment I read that it has something to do with nukes in the above postings.

Yep it removes all classified material from the plane should it get shot down. This way the baddies don't get a hold of our secrets

It causes a LOT of work for the pointy-heads. I've been around while a pilot do it on a couple of occasions during real-world commitments. They (Specs) weren't happy with him, but he decided not to fly after the third jet he did it to during the prep for that sortie...

ZEROIZE is also activated by the seat ejection handle (for obvious reasons)

The possible OPSEC violation advice was good but I thought the mocking prior was rather uncalled for.

2 previous thread that discussed the switch in question.
Ejecting!
