While the A has an internal gun, it also has the centerline hardpoint so it too can use the external gun.

From out of the legendary past 13 Oct 2009 is sadly only F-35B and F-35C mission profile graphics but - whatever - here is the F-35B: (need C? Just Say So) :D AND least but not last the F-35A mit NO tanks but something else.... Youse do the math...
