79th ‘Tigers’ take on Checkered Flag 24-2, WSEP
The U.S. Air Force 79th Fighter and Fighter Generation Squadron ‘Tigers’ took part in Checkered Flag 24-2 and the Weapons System Evaluation Program (WSEP) at Tyndall Air Force Base from May 9-22, 2024. These exercises aimed to enhance air combat readiness alongside 5th-generation aircraft and validate weapons systems and tactics in realistic, large-scale training scenarios.

This F-16C shot down a MiG-29 in Operation Allied Force on May 4th, 1999. The kill marking has moved several times and changed colors repeatedly. The jet also wore five HARM markings which were removed shortly after returning home. In early 2004 a 'Lets Roll' decal/nose art was added.

Callsign "Deuce"
Ejected twice. First time at Luke when another jet hit him from behind/above in the landing pattern. Did two swings in the parachute and suffered two broken legs. Appeared in the class photo on crutches.
Second time the engine failed on takeoff in Saudi Arabia. Saw flames between his legs and ejected.
