Those cockpit shots are the closest I've seen yet. At airshows at least, they keep everything VERY well covered. I was surprised to see this...

Interesting perspective.
I tried to find similar photos from my folder.
Looks like it's related to the pilot suit's legs...? (I’m not sure.)

If it’s an EDW or Nellis jet (ie a test asset) the left-hand ‘kneeboard’ may, in fact, be an electronic pad of some kind. It may also just be a tinted cover for the kneeboards built into the g-suit.
Thanks - later I found a 'tinted' cover for the left leg pad which may explain but also some electronic pad because bright.
