Speaking of ski lifts, I was in the Air Force stationed in Aviano when the incident happened with the EA 6. The pilot was lucky the wing wasn't sheared right off. I don't need to tell you that wasn't a fun time in Aviano.

If you have a sufficiently high rez image, you can zoom in to the base of the tail just aft of or below the IFF blister and the old USAF serial is painted there. The one diplayed in the photo gallery (news) is marked as 80-0615. I think LockMart had some higher resolution images of the Italian Vipers on their site somewhere (http://www.lmtas.com).
