VIper news ... SD ANG ... HL transfers.

Hi all,
In conjunction with the implementation of the F-35 in the 388th FW / 419th FW at Hill AFB, UT some of their Block-40 F-16CMs have transferred out during the first half of 2017.
89-2116 - still in full 4th FS markings and "HL" tail code was seeing flying with the 114th FW / 175th FS of the South Dakota ANG in March of this year.
The SD ANG has been flying ex-Hill Block-40 Vipers since Apr. 2010 when 88-0428 and 88-0463 touched down in Sioux Falls for the first time after their transfer from the 388th FW and now adding 89-2116 ti their inventory the SD ANG continues the tradition with taking over ex-Hill machines.
The current Block-40 line-up in the 175th FS includes many former Block-40 "Desert Storm" Vipers taking part in that conflict from the 4th FS and 421st FS and with the addition of 89-2116 the "Lobos" now field 23 F_16CM/DMs.
Only a few of their F-16s now remain in the traditional two-tone paint scheme as most now have the "Have Glass V" scheme. The SD ANG now also frequently carry and employ the AN/ASQ-213 HARM targetting system but has yet to introduce the AN/APX-113 AIFF system on their F-16s.
Another former 4th FS Block-40 ( still in full "HL" markings ) has also recently been seen flying with the 36th FS at Osan AB, Korea.
