If anyone has a picture of the F-16/101 aircraft, please share it with us. We are (almost) desperately looking for a picture of that aircraft.

Do you mean to the "downgraded" F-16 that was offered do Egypt? (with the cheaper engine. Though I think it was F-16/72).

No, I mean the F-16/101 with a version of the experimental GE F-101 engine, which was further developed to the GE F-110 engine, serving in a lot of F-16's worldwide right now.

I have some photos in various books I can scan. This brings up an interesting question though - many of these books contain the copyright notice about unauthorized reproduction of any kind. How do you deal with that? I realize the publisher probably got the shot(s) from the GD PR department but I would hate to see some overzelous publishing company come after this site for copyright violations. Thoughts?

Well, that's the difficult part.

We always have to be cautious in publishing photographs. Normally a publisher should and would mention it's sources. If he doesn't and he is showing an air-to-air photograph of an experimental F-16, the picture is probably from GD and used for PR duties. Then there is no problem. If the publisher mentions the picture is from GD, there isn't (most of the time) a problem as well.

If you want to be sure, you can just mail the pictures to us, and we'll decide which one can or can't be published here.

No, that was the F-16/79. It had the J79 (ala F-4 Phantom engine) installed in place of a GE or P&W motor.
