Kitty Hawk F-35C 1/48

It's had a few fit issues: wings to fuselage, fuselage panels by intakes, flight controls to wings.

I have noticed some upgraded parts that were not in their "A" and "B" variants.

The pod on the centerline is labelled as a "recon pod", it's basically the shape of the gun pod, just half the overall length.

I painted the fuselage FS36118 with FS36375 for the lighter areas since I haven't procured the FS36170 for the primary color.

A lot more progress:

Landing gear and doors, tail hook, bombs, nozzle. A few paint touch-ups, then it's time to add the decals, vertical tails.

Would be funny if "made in China".

Noted instructions in chinese. Now we know where they got their J-31 design from.

Kit decals copyrighted 2014 are horrible: very thin, brittle and disintegrating; lucky I have plenty of spares. :(

I used some decals form their "B" variant, they had a lot more carrier film, older than in this kit, but went on beautifully.

The rest of the "C" decals just found their home in the recycling bin.
