The big question is, will the Europeans still be canard crazy when building their Tempest/whatever comes next?

I thought canards were a non-starter on stealth aircraft, inflating their RCS. But the Chinese had no problem sticking 2 big ones on their J-20. Will be interesting to see how the Europeans approach the issue..

I dunno, that's why I asked. A question mark after RCS would have been better, agreed. So... how do the inflate RCS - or do they?

We seem to have eschewed them for chines, or at least Lockheed has. Has there ever been a US fighter with them? None immediately come to mind...unless you count the glove vanes on certain F-14 models. Even then, they're not true canards I take it..?
