Hello,

New here, moving to Shaw soon 20th side. How's the area and units? Looking for some feedback on where to stay away from when looking for a home and the tempo? What's the good the bad and the ugly?

Thanks.

Most single pilots live in Columbia. Sumter is ok for families. You will want to consider schools when purchasing or renting a house. Recommend selecting neighborhoods in the following school areas - Alice Drive Elementary, Millwood Elementary, Kingsbury Elementary, Alice Drive Middle, Sumter High. Two private school are Thomas Sumter and Wilson Hall but no need to waste the money on these. Base housing is new and much of it is nice. Stay away from the hoods south of the CSX rail line.

Thank you for the feedback. If anyone else has anything to chime in on, much appreciated.
