Is there a suggestion for a basically straight out of the box kit for a Block 40 C and or D model? I'm not the best at putting these together, I'm usually happy with my results, but they surely aren't or show...but I also know my limitations, and I couldn't put all these "extra" mods to a model to make them look like some of you guys can do. I'm anxiously awaiting the release of the 31st FW decal sheet from AFTERBURNERDECALS considering I'll have my name on one of them
If it aint broke dont fix it, and yes Sir its supposed to leak like that ;)

Yes, but you'll need two kits to do a Block 40D, unless you can find the Hasegawa F-16DJ kit which are rare and go for a lot on Ebay.

The standard Hasegawa F-16C/D kits do not have the MCID intake, Block 50 wheels, bulged gear doors, LAU-129 rails, LEF RWR antennas, required for the late blocks.

If you have the standard Hasegawa F-16D, you can get the F-16CJ kit and use block 50 parts, by simple "plug & play" to get a block 40.

If you want to build a Block 40 F-16C, use the F-16CJ kit (There was a Block F-16CG kit, but it's OOP-HTF), but you'll need to add the LANTIRN/NAV Pods and related ordnance.

Also note that none of the Hasegawa F-16 kits come with the upper fuselage beef up plating, but those can be had from Afterburner Decals, or the vinly stick-ons (Not to found of them myself) from Orion Models.

Hei folks !

Anyone know what happened to the re-release of the B- and D-model Vipers from Hasegawa ??

Suddenly my preorder at Hobby Link Japan is now listed for future release instead of April release ??
Best regards
Niels

HLJ does that from time to time, I wouldn't worry. The rerelease is still scheduled for next month.

How about HLJ's "1200/1300 Yen" A-7E's & MIG-39's they posted last Saturday. I ordered two of each and they are acutally honoring the miss marked prices.

I don't recall, as when I called Curt that night, he told me about it. I was in the control room at work, at the time and snuck in a quick order before I went back out onto the FLight Line. I checked the HLJ site the next morning and they had corrected the prices.

I did not have time to check for other price miss-marks, else I would of for sure looked and passed the word on to FM.

To bad Sorry-A$$ Great Models does not honor the same!
