For your information, the aircraft was F-16A block 15 #40315. The cause of crash is possibly adverse weather condition.
Is the serial confirmed?

According to the article, some villagers saw the aircraft in flames before it crashed.

"Funeral Held for Crashed F-16 Pilot"
UPDATE : 19 October 2010
The air force has transported the body of the pilot of the F-16 jet fighter that crashed in Tak province yesterday to Bangkok for funeral.
(OTOH, I haven't seen on-line photographic proof of the accident F-16 S/N. Maybe local Thai TV news vids have shown it?)

From what I figure out with Google Translate, seems the pilot was married only four months before the accident, and has a Facebook account at http://th-th.facebook.com/people/Thanik ... 0094557681

On second thought, although this is the first RTAF F-16 that crashed, it's not the first RTAF F-16 loss.
Another RTAF F-16 got written off on 15 Jan 2004:
