Period 1979 - 1981

The 16th TFTS was the first unit at Hill AFB, UT to get the F-16. When I got to Hill AFB there were only 78-001, 78-002, 78-003, 78-004, 78-006 and a B Model. MOT&E had six or seven aircraft. After all the aircraft arrived I was eventually assigned F-16B 78-095, F-16B 78-096 was painted to the "lizard" green camo. One of my better times was going to Ft. Worth to see my aircraft roll off the assembly line. Due to restraints I never saw my aircraft but received the first three Israeli F-16’s as they went through there acceptance test. The aircraft were painted in the tan desert scheme with the Star of David on the wings. These were covered up with the Stars and Bars while the aircraft finished up testing in the US before heading to Israel. Nothing like taking an F-16 to the wash rack. Soaping it down before heading to grab a bite to eat only to return and see as you rinsed the aircraft you come to realize the soap you used was paint stripper. Oops! Oh well got a new paint job out of the deal.
Unit 34th Fighter Squadron "Rams" [History]
Period 1980 - 1981
Crewed for awhile. I later became a Flightline Expiditer - Big Mistake! Big-Big Mistake! Spent to many days or weeks getting briefed by day shift Production Supervisor and Expiditers only to see mids servicing crew to come in and go home then debrief dayshift after 16 hour shift. Poor management and supervision. Thank to Msgt. Eddie Odikie (SP) for the 01:00 in the morning porkchops (beer bashes) once in awhile to keep us all sane!

Period 1981 - 1983
Current: AAFG0117   USAF AMARC F-16A Block 15 ADF [ sto]
Cadre to the 50 TFW. Performed alot of training to Airmen and NCO's. Cut training went out the window. Only if McDill management didn't bet the Hill crew to Hahn AB. Lots of friction between cadre from Hill AFB and McDill AFB. To many Chiefs and not enough Indians.
Unit 10th Tactical Fighter Squadron "Fighting Tenth" [History]
Period 1985 - 1987
Mostle Expiditer
Unit 512th Fighter Squadron "Dragons" [History]
Period 1987 - 1993
Flight Chief and Expiditer. Lots of power struggle at Ramstein. At the closure and assignment briefing over 30 MSgt's (AFSC 431X1)were brought out of the wood work. What did these these people do? Surely not aircraft generation!
Other aircraft/assignments C-21A (Learjet 35A), Cessna, Piper, G-III, B-737
