I miss this squadron the most, I'm in Korea now.
Current or Favourite assignmentBeen around since WWII, and the only unit in the Air Force to have their patch designed by Walt Disney himself (unfortunately because he was an anti-semite.) There's a lot of history in this unit, and yes there's a lot of politics involved but I'm glad I got this Squaron rather than any other here at Luke.DeploymentsI haven't been deployed yet, but I plan on volunteering next chance I get. |

305 is my pride and I treat it as best I can, hardly every breaks, has a VHF problem here or there, but a code 1 queen. They say every jet has a personality, it seems to like my DCC and I, but our pilot, not..so..much. When it has a boot on, and it's hot outside (i.e. the Arizona summers) leaks a lot. Especially from under the left strake and fuel vent. What plane doesn't a nitch? I love this jet, and glad I got it. This is my second year in the Air Force and plan on keeping 305 flying the best to train pilots to fight for our strong Air Force. (VHF was fixed) I miss this jet like crazy.

This jet was awesome for D model seemed to like me a lot flew code 1 30+ days in a row and had a lot of incentive rides. This jet gave me a good impression for a D model.

Flew code one with me all 3 times I launched it so far...then sh*tted out when I went to phase for a week, and start system completely failed, I plan to make this jet special to me because this is the 1st jet with a real mission (to shoot and bomb the chongers!) and I plan to dedicate and put the name of a marine in my brother's unit in Afghanistan who died. It will say "To: Lcpl Chris Baltazar: You became an angel to protect your brothers from above and drop hell on the Chongers below" |
