For now I'm off the line. Spent about a year and a half at the nickel bounced back on all three shifts. Loved mids but when AFSO 21 hit the line it tow jobs were crazy for awhile. Anyway moved on to MXS, did a couple Phases, then went off to TA (had a blast, met a lot of good guys) then back to the dock and now Im finishing up my tour in Support.

What I loved most about the Nickel was the people. Where ever you go you'll have your P.O.S.s and some guys you'd rather not work under but out of the places I've been so far I gotta say I felt happiest and most comfortable workin the line at the Nickel(12s or not). There were a lot of great knowledgeable guys that I enjoyed working with.

Deployments

Alaska Red Flag- 24hr Sun?! WTF
Kunsan-I couldnt believe it was a deployment...enjoyed myself but walkin in wolf pack park to the showers in the rain sucked, other than that no complaints. Once again dealt with a lot of great guys and by the first month the tent felt like family lol

About the assignment, back to AFSO 21 days on the line, mid-shift. It was an epic night I'll never forget,it was sunday, jets were double stuffed. Torres, Mendez and I worked on one power-on crew and wrapped up 26 power-ons in one hour. It was an awesome moment, we wasted no movement and didn't cut corners when it came to checking what we had to check. Thats what I miss about the line...dont ask about too many details though lol
