Hands down, the best group of people I have ever worked with was in the 77 FS. Not AMXS, but Fighter Squadron. Comradere there was the highest between 1996 to 2000. Sgt Rick Davis, Kevin Bantum, Mike Zink, Scotty McCormick, and lots of other folks there at that time. Absolutely the best maintainers in the world.
Current or Favourite assignmentThe place had its ups and downs, all do, but the folks made the place feel like home for all those years.DeploymentsFirst deployment was Operation Desert Shield/Storm. Worked out of the 17TH FS "Hooters" from Shaw AFB, SC. Numerous other desert deployments for ONW/OSW. Turkey was the coolest deployments ever. Actually left Kobar Towers (Dharan) just weeks (2 or 3) before the attack from those cowards! More trips to Vegas than I can recall!!! |

This is the best aircraft i ever worked. Pilots loved it because it was a piper bomber. Deadly accurate. i loved this jet. Sadly, it is the one that crashed in florida killing a little boy. Not a single day goes by i dont think of him.

Brand new from the factory! it had 5.6 hours on it when it landed at Shaw AFB. Had to work some bugs out of it at first, but went on to crew it for over four years and it maintained an average FMC rate of 96% for the four years.

this jet was a disaster area when i got it. it was so bad, someone painted a rat on the side of it! i got it cleaned up, flying right, and a long over due paint job. it immediately became a VIP jet for Lt Col's and above.

Worked as flightline expeditor for 9 months back at the "KUN". it was refreshing being back on F-16's.
Other aircraft/assignments | currently assigned to Tyndall AFB and the ricketty-ass old F-15. what a throw back in techno for a 16 guy. Cables and rod.....what a joke! |
