Started in '98 working in W&T, then to phase as a traditional guardsman. Was a guard bum (on days) for a while, then got hired on as a technician in the phase dock in March 1999. Ended up working phase till Aug 03. Learned more than I could have ever imagined. Did crew some here and there, but worked mostly in phase till Aug 03. Crewed my jet for about 3 months, went back to phase to run a dock for 120 days, then back to my jet. Been on the same jet since(92-3916/ 157FS).
Current or Favourite assignmentBest folks to work with! Not your typical ANG unit! Continuity. Team work like no other... Everyone knows what to do and when.DeploymentsWent to ONW at Incirlik(Jan 2000) and got to go ESTA. Loved Gander, New foundland, Canada...esp 19yr old drinking age!!! OSW at PSAB(2001) Cinco de Mayo in ROTA was awesome. We lost our tankers and got to stay for 7 days. Will never forget 9/11!!! Alert, OEF, ONE. To Al Udied Feb '03 for the start of OIF. Stopped in Moron on Esta, and the brig wasn't big enough for all of us! Been on a lot of TDY's in the states too. |
