It was the first viper i was assigned to, learned alot of stuff about the air force/air guard as a result. Although recently xtrained into another career field with the Mq-1's we are converting to (damn.....). i still claim being a flight line crew chief as my primary AFSC because of her(84-223). my short time out on the flight line can be remembered with long hours sitting alert with her. My trainer simply known as "grizzle" taught me the tricks and trades of being a crew chief, and the jets nick name was "el pollo loco" . My first time launching her out she nearly jumped chocks on me while we were doing a SEC run up.
For all i can remember i've always wanted to be in the air force working with airplanes and i was dead set on going active duty and working 15's. but through will and power, i can honestly say this is the jet that made me fall for 16's.
