When we returned to Shaw and transitioned to the block 42s a few of us wrote letters of apology to the gaining guard unit and taped them to the inside of the panels."

Flew 57 missions in Desert Storm. When the 363rd TFW returned home from Desert Storm in March of 1991 four aircraft kept their nose art for the Shaw AFB open house. The other three aircraft were with nose art: "Sweet . . . But Deadly", "Code One Candy", and "Hammer Time" which Warren Trask touched up before the show. All nose art but "Hammer Time" was removed right after the air show.

Wore 13 mission markings and 4 HARM markings for Operation Enduring Freedom. The nose art is of a fireman at ground zero reaching for a soldier and large american flag.The art work is by TSgt. Robbie Leist and SSgt. Chad Marks. However, the 389 did not fire any Harms during OEF, so the HARM markings are from previous OSW deployments.
