Major Gnutti has flown the F-104 with the 61° Stormo and was assigned to the 5° Stormo in 2002, transitioning onto the F-16 in 2003. From 2004 to 2006 he was part of the Pilot Exchange Program with the US Air National Guard in Tucson, Arizona. In October 2008 he reached 1,000 flight hours on the F-16.
