Col. Darryl Roberson, 52nd Fighter Wing commander, reached the 1,000 hour mark in an F-16 Fighting Falcon Nov. 17, the third time he has reached this milestone in his Air Force career.
It is quite unique for a pilot to gather 1,000 flight hours on three different major platforms. Col. Roberson has 1,000 hours in an F-16; 1,025 in the F-4 Phantom; and 1,960 in the F-15E Strike Eagle.
