Barely squeaked passed the 1000 hour mark before he quit flying in late 1995 with the 457 FS, where he was the squadron operations officer (and later 301 OG deputy commander). His "SPAD" buds there included J.T. Thornton, Nuke Murry, Neil Rohan, Frank Anderson, TC Coon, Bill Schauffert, Tommy Dyches, et al, all of whom have lots more time in the Viper than he did. Scotty also flew F-100s and F-4s (1500 and 2000 hours, respectively). | ||
