On 8 May 2024, at 12.35h, a Republic of Singapore Air Force (RSAF) F-16 experienced an issue during take-off. The pilot safely ejected and the plane crashed thereafter within the confines of Tengah Air Base.

USAF #90718F-16C Block 40
Jumped the chocks during a hot oil servicing run at Eielson AFB, Alaska and slid 400ft sideways across the ramp on hard packed snow. The aircraft ended up in a balancing act on its nose and starboard wing on the ground and port landing gear in the air. The aircraft was fixed, although there was extensive damage. A ground crew member in the cockpit was fine. A few years later, the aircraft ended up in the exact same position after being tipped over by the engine exhaust of a taxying B-1B.

Callsign of the day
Callsign "Beaver"
I was the only female student in a whole class of men at an aeronautical university. I was kind of worried that the other students were not interacting with me much, if at all. I spoke to the teacher, who probably in turn spoke to the students. To welcome me, they gave me the callsign "Beaver". It sticks to this day.
