On May 14, 2024, the third F-35A destined for the Belgian Air Force completed its maiden flight. The aircraft took off from Lockheed Martin’s Fort Worth facility in Texas around 15:00h and flew for approximately one hour.

RSAF F-16 crashes at Tengah Air Base
On 8 May 2024, at 12.35h, a Republic of Singapore Air Force (RSAF) F-16 experienced an issue during take-off. The pilot safely ejected and the plane crashed thereafter within the confines of Tengah Air Base.

Modified as F-16/79 with a General Electric J-79 engine. This engine was tested as a low-cost and lower-thrust alternative for non-NATO allies. The project never materialised because the standard Pratt & Whitney F-100 engine was made available to all who could pay for it under the Reagan Administration.

Active Duty Navy since 2001 and my last name is Medina...so obviously people started calling me Funky Cold since 2001. The funny thing was that I have no idea what it meant when I first heard of it. The guys showed me the video and from there it stuck!
