Detail of an empty chaff & flare dispenser on RDAF #E-609 at Aalborg AB on April 24th, 2004. This system is called a PIDS (Pylon Integrated Dispenser System). The RDAF used it as first, but other air forces have since adopted this system as it increases the number of chaffs & flares that can be carried on board. The system is normally carried on the middle underwing hardpoint. [Photo by Erik Frikke]
