    All of these tail #'s were assigned to the 17th FS (Hooters), Shaw AFB, SC during Desert Shield and Desert Storm, and all saw combat hours over Iraq. Were based out of Al Dhafra AB, UAE and King Khalid Military City, Saudi Arabia. Turned a wrench as crewchief on all of them at one time or another.

    I am sorry, but "kahuna" is completely wrong - NONE of these were "SW" birds.

    86-0224 and 0237 are ex-52 FW from Spangdahlem AB, Germany and 85-1398 and 1440 are ex-86 FW from Ramstein AB, Germany. 86-0224 and 0237 saw action in "Desert Storm" while deployed to Incirlik AB, Turkey from the 52 TFW / 23 TFS.
