    1st Ejection for this Pilot

In 2006/07 I spoke with a 2-star who was a Viper pilot in his earlier life (I knew him then when I was an enlisted maintainer at Luke Dec '82 to Jun '85) and he said the guy flying this jet on the mishap sortie was also the same guy who was flying F-16C, 88-0461 from Luke (also with the 310 TFTS) when it crashed in the Mojave Desert at AF Plant 42 (where the B-2 was being built) when his lap belt got stuck between the seat and sidestick during the infamous piddle pack incident. Wingman on this sortie was Maj Tony Josephowicz, a Canadian Exchange Instructor Pilot assigned to the 310 TFTS.

In a bit of irony, I was at Luke when 78-0004 went down and I was at George AFB, CA working as a Command Post Officer Emergency Actions Controller the morning that 88-0461 went down and did the OPREP reporting to 12th Air Force and HHQ.
