USAF F-35A #07-7044 (AF-6) flies above the compass rose of Rogers Dry Lakebed at Edwards AFB on May 13th, 2011. The aircraft was ferried to Edwards AFB from NAS Fort Worth following the Air Force formally accepting the fighter into its inventory on May 12th, 2011. Excepted into USAF inventory. Following day (May 13) performed a 3.6hr ferry flight to Edwards AFB. Wore markings for the 58th Fighter Squadron but was delivered to the 461st Flight Test Squadron.
