USAF F-16C #83-1129 was assigned to the 312 TFTS of the 58TTW. It was also assigned to Operational Test and Evaluation (OT&E) of the 57th FWW out of Nellis. For a weapons guy, this was the only case that I felt sorry for a crew chief. The aircraft normally flew regular training missions as well as OT&E work. The Wing Commanders of the 57th and the 58th had a regular urinating contest about those airplanes! The aircraft would go to Nellis and the tails were repainted in yellow and black checks and WA. The aircraft would come back to Luke and a new tail would be painted with black & red trimmed tail stripe and LF on the tail. [Photo by Steve Lockhart]
