F-16 Accidents

Battle damaged F-16C block 40 #88-0488 from the 4th TFS still in-work during Desert Storm at King Fahd IAP after being hit by a SA3 on January 21st, 1991. Could not make it back to home base so emergency landed at our A-10 ABDR base at KFIA where three of us A-10 guys with prior F-16 experience, C/C, S/M and Fuels patched her up. Try F-16CG 88-0495; not 88-0488. 2952 CLSS repaired this acft after DS and it continues to fly with 388th FW today; unless they crashed it already...

    388th FW; No.1 customer/supplier or crash-damaged aircraft to CLSS...

Good call on that last bit of info...I was one of the guys there that did the work. Removed the Right flaperon, did a flushpatch and put it back together. Notice how the radome is flat at the tip?.....landed with the nose gear still up.
