Aviano based F-16s deploy to the UK

F-16s from 31st Fighter Wing are due to deploy to RAF Fairford for a joint exercise with RAF/NATO assets.
The dates of this current deployment correspond with information obtained from the UK, Ministry of Defence which indicate the aircraft could be part of Exercise Fast Mover (5-13th October).
Other sources indicate this movement is part of the RAFs Exercise Titan - Deployed Ops Training (DT06). 23rd Sept - 30th Oct.
The 16 F-16s are from the 555th FS, will deploy over a period of 2 days between the 2nd-3rd Oct. The personnel from the 31st FW will interact with RAF & NATO units which have also deployed to the base which is located in Gloucestershire.
Ex. Fast Mover is described as a medium scale Close Air Support Exercise. The exercise will be conducted over Wales and the Welsh border region and will include up to a maximum of 50 fast jets each day.
Ex. 'Deployed Titan' aim is to train personnel to operate from an austere Deployed Operating Base anywhere in the world. The F-16s from the 555th FS will work alongside the RAFs 34th Expeditionary Air Wing, one of the nine UK based EAWs which can deploy to theatre. The exercise flying will take place in Wales, the Borders (including Spadeadam) and over the central North Sea.
