What about RAAF ?!?

That said, the Aussie dual mode passive RF JSM+ variant would very much seem to have broad potential as a multi-purpose, force-multiplying stand-off weapon system (especially with the Hi-Hi-Lo profile) ... I would not be surprised if FY23 orders increased significantly from the 180 ? Not only suitable for F-35 platforms, but would also seem to be a capable next-gen fit for F-16V, among others.

No order placed yet by them. Just Norway and Japan to date.

Japan is considering scrapping its plan to procure U.S.-made long-range anti-ship missiles (LRASM) with standoff capabilities for the Air Self-Defense Force’s F-15 fighter jets, government officials have said.

I have looked and looked for a 'date' for this news item. The link came from the most recent news at JSF.com - so 2021?
Historic Missile Contract Signed with Kongsberg Defence & Aerospace
Oct? 2021? FORMSVARSMATERIELL

"Director of the Norwegian Defence Materiel Agency, Mette Sørfonden, today signed the production contract for the Joint Strike Missile (JSM) with Kongsberg Defence & Aerospace. Worth nearly NOK 4 billion, the contract represents one of the largest ever acquisitions of armaments for the Norwegian Armed Forces.

“To ensure that the F-35 is able to deliver on the requirements set by the Norwegian Parliament, they must be equipped with modern and effective weapons. One of the most important of these is the JSM, and this contract is therefore essential in ensuring that the Norwegian Armed Forces will be able to declare full operational capability with the F-35 in 2025,” said Ms. Sørfonden....

...During the initial three phases of JSM development, personnel from the Armed Forces have cooperated closely with engineers at Kongsberg Defence & Aerospace and researchers at the Norwegian Defence Research Establishment to design and develop the missile. This has included integration and testing on the F-35. Though follow-on development efforts on the F-35 will include further test firings of the JSM, the missile itself is now at a stage where it is ready for phase four and series production, with first deliveries expected in 2023.

“We already know that other countries are planning to acquire the JSM, and the missile moving into series production will therefore help support both jobs and long term economic opportunities to both Kongsberg Defence & Aerospace and their suppliers. That in turn makes this an important contract to the Armed Forces as well as Norwegian industry, and a contribution to the fulfilment of Norway’s defence industrial strategy,” said Sørfonden."

October 21st it was announced.

From Key Aero.

https://www.key.aero/article/norway-sig ... production

"In Norway’s proposed 2022 defence budget, released on October 12, it was stated that stage three development of the JSM had been carried out in 2020 but that development was considered largely completed in the autumn of 2018.

Integration work involving the US National Program Office is underway with a number of test missiles already in production. Norway intends to have the missile operational on all F-35A fighters by the time the aircraft reaches full operational capability in 2025.

The defence budget proposal also revealed that, in parallel with the integration on the aircraft, the process of acquiring the JSM for Norway’s Armed Forces was already underway, with a procurement contract scheduled to be signed this year, alluding to the newly announced deal."

No news on F-35B integration to date, hopefully the Japanese will want that and fund it. Could then open it up to the UK, USMC and Italians.

Kongsberg Defence & Aerospace (“KONGSBERG”) has signed an Undefinitized Contract Action (UCA) with the United States Air Force (USAF) for the delivery of Joint Strike Missiles (JSM) for their F-35A aircraft. The contract has a not-to-exceed value of $141 million and deliveries will start in 2026.

We are very pleased that the US Air Force - as the world’s largest operator of the F-35A Lightning II - has decided to procure JSM. JSM combined with the extremely advanced F-35 aircraft creates a formidable strike capability and validates JSM as the internal strike capability for the F-35A.

“The selection of JSMs by both the USAF and Royal Norwegian Air Force also fully supports NATO’s vision for interchangeability of equipment between allied nations” said Eirik Lie, President of Kongsberg Defence & Aerospace.

USAF F-35s are getting Joint Strike Cruise Missiles that fit in their bays

The U.S. Air Force has inked its first contract for Joint Strike Missile (JSM) cruise missiles. The Norwegian-made missiles are ostensibly intended to give the service's F-35As an interim stand-off anti-ship capability until the jets get the larger AGM-158C Long-Range Anti-Ship Missile (LRASM). However, the JSMs can also engage targets on land and will be able to fit inside the F-35A's internal weapon bays, allowing the jets to employ these weapons while staying as stealthy as possible.
