Now Pakistan is making JF-17 thunder fighter jets. I saw the video where a JF-17 came flying leveled to the ground and then it went straight up like a rocket and disappeared in the skies. That could have been Mach 2 speed.
Pakistan has 3 variants of JF-17 jets which are made with the help of Chinese technology. I would say JF-17 have a different design than fighter jets made by USA, Russia and Europe.
Is JF-17 a replacement for F-16 now that many countries have the technology to make fighter jets.

Don't know much about it but on the face of it looks more like the F-CK-1, or the F-5 because it seems to be smaller / lighter with less hard-points.
Most sources give a top level speed of Mach 1.6 / 700 Kts which would presumably only happen above 35,000ft without any pylons (at a guess). Sea level speed would be somewhere below M1.2 typically.
Was powered by a variant of the MiG-29s RD-33 but they might be moving to a Chinese engine for newer blocks.
The US have prevented sales of F-16s to Pakistan in the past several times so it could be their way of getting around that - until they annoy China somehow of course.
For countries denied F-16V Block 70/72 for whatever reason it could be a budget alternative maybe.

So why are the making JF-17, Tejas LCA etc.. when 'Made in Asia" fighter jets cannot match F-16s.
It fits their interim needs for a platform to replace their ageing 60s and 70s era platforms.
In parallel, both of them are working on programs for FGFA.

You join on 14th Dec and start a new thread about a topic that already has this thread below.

Did you really read the forum rules. Also, no jet goes Mach 2 vertically, you really need to go read a bit about air craft, how jets work and then come back. In the meanwhile, I would request mods to merge this new thread in the old one linked above.

Check this guy's comments on WVR fight in an JF17 against a F-16.
JF-17 with PL-10 mod (currently in pipeline) will trump F-16 with AIM-9M any day of the week, but currently on brute performance F-16 has the edge.
Which aircraft have you flown DACT against- which was the most challenging and why?
“DACT : F-16 Block-52+ , Mirage, F:7P.
