LM T/V F-35's of Norway,Italy,Israel and Japan

Does anyone know how Lockheed Martin intending to mark the T/V of Norway, Italy, Israel and Japan F-35's?
I guess Japan's will be AJ-01, Israel's will be AI-01...

The assembly of the first two Israeli F-35i's (LRIP-8) scheduled to begin this month

BTW: T/V = LM Aero Type/Version (Construction) number

Norway’s first F-35, known as AM-1, was lifted by an overhead crane on April 9 from an electronic mate and alignment station where its forward and rear fuselage sections were joined to the wing-center fuselage assembly.

The initial wing of AX-1, the first of four Japanese aircraft destined to be made in Fort Worth, has been completed in Marietta, Georgia. The completed aircraft is scheduled to roll out of Fort Worth in August 2016.

The first two Israeli aircraft, dubbed AS-1 and 2, are also on the line and “will load into the mating station later this year and will deliver in July and August out to the flight line,” she says. The aircraft will ferry to Israel by the end of 2016. with initial operating capability expected in 2017.

The official roll out is in 27 days, so this is just it being moved from factory to paint shop.

Notice the absence of the drag chute, which will be on fifth aircraft, which will go to Norway. The first four will stay in the US for training purpose.

First F-35A for Norway Moves into Final Stages of Production

"The first Lockheed Martin F-35A Lightning II for Norway, known as AM-1, transferred out of the F-35 main production facility Aug. 19, marking a key milestone for the Norwegian F-35 program.

This move from the production facility is one of the final steps in the process leading to the jet’s eventual assignment to Luke Air Force Base, Arizona, later this year. Once at Luke, it becomes part of the U.S. Air Force’s pilot training program for both the USAF and international countries.

AM-1 is currently in the Aircraft Final Finishes (AFF) facility where it receives low observable coatings. From there it undergoes a series of functional fuel system checks and then transports to the flight line for operational ground checks and its first flight.

AM-1 is the first of four Norwegian F-35s currently in production at the Fort Worth plant. Norway’s second F-35 known as AM-2 recently jointed its sister aircraft in the AFF while AM-3 and AM-4 are both in work at the wing systems and forward fuselage areas. Both of these aircraft will take shape for the first time in late September, when their major components are joined together."

Lockheed Martin Corp., Lockheed Martin Aeronautics Co., Fort Worth, Texas, is being awarded a not-to-exceed $89,265,000 modification to a previously awarded cost-plus-incentive-fee contract (N00019-12-C-0070). This modification provides for the system development and demonstration Phase I Increment 2, for the first aircraft arrival and initial operations in support of the F-35A conventional take-off and landing (CTOL) air system for the government of Israel under the Foreign Military Sales program. This modification includes the development and demonstration, integration and sustainment planning for the Israel F-35A CTOL Air System. Work will be performed at Fort Worth, Texas (67 percent); Redondo Beach, California (12 percent); Orlando, Florida (10 percent); Samlesbury, United Kingdom (7); and Newtown, Pennsylvania (4 percent), and is expected to be completed in March 2020. Foreign military sales funds in the amount of $10,000,000 are being obligated at time of award, none of which will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, Maryland, is the contracting activity.

Work on the "Plug-n-Play" Israeli F-35A Mods continue.
