DOD Statement
F-16Cs from Wisconsin ANG 148th - 91-0405 and 91-0408 claimed by the photographer to be landing after the event - possibly both jets may have landed with only one AIM-9X.

Seems that Joint Chiefs Chairman Gen. Mark Milley stated two AIM-9s were needed to down the object.

Is that checked? - photos posted above show 405 landing with AIM-9X still on the left (Port) side from the event.

The report I read which holds the same photos as in this thread indicated that 91-0405 was the one missing the left missile, while the other, at the time unidentified F-16, was missing the right. From this thread I understand it to be 91-0408.
If it is vise-versa, I have no problems with this.
