Extra F-16s for the 169 FW

The 169th FW at McEntire ANGB are set to receive additional F-16CJs from Mountain Home AFB, Idaho as part of the BRAC alignment from last year.
The first five F-16CJ block 52 jets are due to arrive this coming Thursday, with the remaining four to come later according to Air Guard spokesman, Lt. Col. Les Carroll. The F-16CJs are the same model as the type currently flown by the 169th which currently has 18.
In addition around 418 active duty airmen will also be transferred to the base to be trained by the Guard unit as the Air Force capitalizes on there experiences. Eight civilian postings are also included with the move.
