Crewed 79-0429 as an assistant, and 79-0404 (my 1st dedicated jet) then 80-0474 as the wing commander's crew chief in 1983. 1984 reassigned to Hill AFB, UT where I was the crew chief on 82-0973 from 1984-87 then reassigned to MAT to teach F-16 maintenance 1987 -1988 when I left the military.

Current or Favourite assignment

One of the 1st operational combat units using the F-16. Plus stationed at Nellis in Las Vegas.

This plane was used by the Thunderbirds as their trainer until they got their own. Great pic of it leading 2 Thunderbird A models in takeoff formation. "The rest follow the best" was the caption below the pic on the wall in the AMU.

Hi Jay, I got to Nellis circa September '80. Was in on the F-4 transition and did my last 6 mos there assigned to the 474 EMS Phase shop. I remember the Bentwaters and Cold Lake deployments.

Jay, whats happenin?? Where you at ???now days. Nobody believes my story about the FUN BUNCH. I'm here at Hill as civil servant.

Hey Bob, not too much, I live in NJ and own a business. Yea they were some fun times. I think my ex still lives in Utah. :(
