Joined the USAF in January 1998, first duty assignment was Luke AFB, AZ 308th FS. Spent 3 and 1/2 years in what I would call "one of the best around," hard to compare each place to what I experienced with the Emerald Knights. Then it was off to Korea, Osan AB and the 36th FS "Fighting Fiends." Had the opportunity to work in a phase dock at the time was deemed "best seen to date!" Had a blast there as well. Then it was off to Italy, home of the Triple Nickel 555th FS, "Once Green Always Green." Traveled the world while stationed in Italy. All my hard work paid off and I was accepted to the USAF Air Demonstration Squadron, the "Thunderbirds." Started out on swing shift in 2004, Phase dock in 2005, #3 DCC for Major Nicole Malachowski the first female demonstration pilot in armed forces history in 2006, back to swing shift for 2007, and 2008 I earned the right to wear the coveted 8 Load Meatball as one of very few fighter crew chiefs that can call the back seat of their D model just that, theirs. Logging hours in the back of my jet is a dream come true, a testimony to hard work and dedication, once in a lifetime and highly recommended! PCS's to Spang Quentin Germany, expedited for the 23AMU for almost 2 years, best job in the AF and I helped transfer 21 F-16's and shut down the 22 and 23 and open the 480th....currently an F-16/A-10 QA inspector for the 52nd FW. // Update, Spend 3 years on the U-2 at Beale, WOW. Now I'm back on my baby as a Pro Super on the ROK, Whoooooo daaaaat? Juuuuuuuvat "CRUSHEM" Left Kunsan back to my family at Beale and retired as the QA Chief Inspector, 20 and done, Feb 2018! Now I'm an Aircraft Planner at AFMC, Depot, Robins AFB, GA.
Current or Favourite assignment52nd MXG QA Inspector.....You Can't Police the Police....Ha Ha!2006 #3 DCC, Major Nicole Malachowski becomes the first female demonstration pilot in armed forces history. 2008 #8 DCC, Logging hours with Major Tony "Split" Mulhare in the back seat of block 32/52 F-16s. DeploymentsDeployed as a Super with the U-2, truly the tip of the spear! Got the only Expediter Medal out of 158 days in Iraq....that place sucks! Doors slamming still gest my blood pumpin, 50 meters away from a mortar is too close for me! |
