Crew Chief (Swings mostly). Started out on F-4 at Eglin and ended up back at Eglin as a Pro Super. Retired in 2001 and became the Airfield Manager at Duke Field (Eglin AUX Field 3).

After leaving Eglin I went to Nellis (crewed 79-0367 in the 428th). Was supposed to PCS to Ramstien instead I got diverted to Lakenheath and did 4 years on F-111's (71-0888 Trips to Win and 74-0177 Ghostrider). RAF Lakenheath was a great time in my career. Lots of hard work but great crew chiefs and some good deployments to Spain and Turkey made up for the weather. PCS'ed to Hill in the 4th FS and crewed 80-0480. Went to the Kun.....lovely Kunsan AB Korea (35 FS and crewed 86-0293). Managed to end up back where I started......sunny Florida at Eglin AFB

Talk about a beast. The F-111F was a beast of an aircraft to work. Long hours and rain complicated things. Met some great crew chiefs and the deployments from there were interesting for sure.

Was good to be off F-111's for a change but the Utah climate and I did not agree. You know it's cold if de-icing fluid freezes. I ended up in the middle of 2 rows of F-16's on the 388th ramp. Just a normal engine run at 0300L after a throttle cable change. No biggie ....I got this.

1 hell of a year. Worked with some great Crew Chiefs on swings. Many 12 hours shifts but we always found time to have a few beers to warm your hands up after the bike ride back to the dorms.

Had made TSgt and MSgt so I was a .Flight Chief and a Pro Super before I retired.
