This was my first jet; named it "Whiskey Bent and Hell Bound". It took me four months to get that pig cleaned up and running right. I remember I had all the light covers painted gloss black by a local paint shop in Clovis for road trips; it looked mean as hell with the black until we went to Red Flag and the Base commander jumped all up in my shit for the custom paint job. It was worth it.

This jet was the cats ass. She was a code one machine and was beautiful. I killed myself taking care of it but it was worth it. I remember all my buddies ragging me about getting it dirty but there was no denying that fact that I maintained the hell out of it. I think my MC rate with it was a 99.7% which was unheard of and it always rose to the occasion. The best commander I ever served for, Lt Col. Walter Wright used to kill the Coronas so I named her "Corona Express" That name was a perfect fit for our flagship. Its a shame she's no longer with us.

Kusan is what Kunsan is. I hated this place at first till I figured it out and started drinking. Never worked so hard in my life and I never drank so much. I had 89-2003 and kicked ass with it. It was another code one machine and I won a few Proud falcons with it too. I liked having the HAS. I have nightmares from the exercises and I think I have permanent sinus damage from those fucking gas masks. I miss all the people I hung with back then; most were crazy, some retarded and all were bastards.
