AFRES F-16C block 32, #86291, with a colorful tail scheme celebrating 50 years of the "Tuskegee Airmen". This aircraft is the 302 FS flag-ship which also was the unit designation for the "Tuskegee Airmen"  [USAF photo]
Special markings for USAF's 50th in 1997 and to commemorate the Tuskegee Airmen. The tail was painted bright red. Intake also had bright paint. The name "By ReQuest" was on the commanders P-51 in WWII. Red tail markings were applied again in 2006 to this aircraft.

Contractors carefully bolt an F-16 painted in World War II Tuskegee colors onto its pedestal on July 11th, 2006 at Luke AFB. The F-16A #79-0327 will become a static display in front of the 944th Fighter Wing headquarters and is scheduled to be unveiled during a dedication ceremony on August 2nd, 2006. The 944th Fighter Wing's 301st and 302nd Fighter Squadrons trace their roots to the Tuskegee Airmen. [USAF photo by SSgt Susan Stout]
