1979 Air Force Academy graduate Sep 1980: first F-16 flight On 05 October 2003 Lt. Col. Brewer took his final flight at Buckley Air Force Base, marking his retirement from the Colorado Air National Guard's 120th Fighter Squadron. After touching down there was a little fun, and celebration for the 1979 Air Force Academy graduate. Brewer is retiring after 24-and-a-half-years in the military. He was winner of the Top Gun award during Gunsmoke in 1993 and he has flown in all the latest conflicts and wars (226 combat hours). When he wasn't on active duty, he was at his job as a pilot for Northwest Airlines. |
