First DOD general officer completes F-35 qualification training
Maj. Gen. Jay Silveria, USAF Warfare Center commander, connects his oxygen mask prior to his final qualifying flight in the F-35A Lightning II on September 26 at Eglin AFB. May 11, 2014 - The Lockheed Martin F-35 Lightning II aircraft fleet, which surpassed 16,000 cumulative program flight hours to date in April, flew a monthly record high for System Development and Demonstration (SDD) with 282 flight hours and 153 flights in April. [Read more...]

May 07, 2014 - Turkey has recommitted to the purchase of an initial two Lockheed Martin F-35A Lightning II aircraft, Turkey's undersecretary for state-run defense said in a statement on May 6th. The delivery of the first two F-35s is scheduled to take place in 2018. [Read more...]
