Errors and Omissions
Oct 1982 entry
This aircraft was assigned to the 17th AMU and was part of the 17 TFS, not the 19 TFS. It may have originally transferred into the 19 AMU from Kunsan, but if so, it was then transferred over to the 17th. How do I know? I was proud to see my name stenciled on the canopy when I "earned" an aircraft after becoming a mission ready F-16 pilot in the 17 TFS "Hooters" in 1983.
Thanks, Charlie Lyon
Maj Gen, USAF (ret)
