Ferdinand Brown, 77th AMU engine mechanics, watch as an F-16C block 50 #93-0552 from the 55th FS roars in full afterburner during an engine run up on July 16th, 2008 at Balad AB. During a run up the mechanics test all of the engine settings and gauges that pilot uses during combat missions. Doing so will ensures no components faultier and the jet is ready for operational use.
