USAF F-16C block 30 #86-0212 from the AATC is taking off from Tucson IAP on March 9th, 2018. Note the two different AMRAAM versions on the wing and also the AN/ASQ-236 pod under the center stage. This is the first time this pod has been seen on the F-16 as it was designed to be carried on the F-15E. The pod contains a synthetic aperture radar that provides detailed maps for surveillance, coordinate generation and bomb impact assessment purposes. [Photo by Berry Vissers]
