The Automatic Ground Collision Avoidance System, known as Auto-GCAS, is a software-based technology that has demonstrated a 98 percent effectiveness rate at eliminating aircraft crashes into the ground.
According to Flightglobal, the USAF has finally approved funding for the Automatic Ground Collision Avoidance System (auto-GCAS) to be fitted to F-16 Block 40s, with future additions to the Lockheed F-22 & F-35.
